Time, Love, & Money Changes Things

I believe that people think and act based on their current emotion. I am by no means different.

After my last post, I've thought about things more clearly and see that I ranted purely out of frustration. Since that last incident, my fiancee and I have had a great talk. Sometimes, your anger and frustration comes out in situations, when there is something else lying below the surface that needs to be addressed. Needless to say, this was the case, and all has been straighted out.

Now I feel like I've got a new set of problems. As previously stated, we have been engaged now going on 7 or 8 months. With this much time past, many people are asking us when the big day is. Sadly, we do not have a date set because I would hate to committ to a date, and stuggle to try to make it happen. Way too much stress for me.

My grandmother has chimed in and now wants this wedding to happen, PRONTO. She constantly brings up wedding planning as I shy away from the subject completely. She tried to see how much money she could contribute to the fund, but found out that she could only muster up $1100, hardly enough for a wedding.

Finances seem to be the one thing that is hindering us from getting married. To be quite frank, it's hindering us from a lot of things, and I seem to be the only one that cares about it. But lately I've taken the attitude that if no one else cares, than neither do I.

So with that being said, I suggest going to the Justice of Peace and making it official, on a budget, and live happily ever after. We'll see how that goes.
